Mediawiki is live: It's alive I tell you!!!!
by Laurence Montgomery
mediawiki.greensconnect.ca is up.
For now, no login is required to create/read/update/delete an article
(Transparency=100%, Privacy=0%).
Having said that, I recommend everyone go through the (somewhat irksome)
process of creating an account and logging in to edit pages. (If you do
not, we won't know who wrote what!)
(The only tech issue is that the site is not caching well. So if no one has
looked at a page in a while, there can be a long slow load from time to
time, immediately followed by reasonable response times.)

ps - In hindsight a better subdomain would have been 'wiki.greensconnect.ca'.
But out of deference to John's mental health - and perhaps a retrospective
of our domain naming strategy - we should leave DNS/SSL configuration as is
for the moment.

Re: Question
by Laurence Montgomery
My understanding is that there is *some* multi-lingual support for Airmeet,
but that it is a paid add on.
I have forwarded your question to our team Listserv - *John Wilson* is
likely in the best position to judge wether bilingual support is feasible
for our upcoming event.

Motion Mondays: Airmeet Table Names
by Laurence Montgomery
I have created an 'AIrmeet Table Name" Column (L) in the shared document
"Motions Spreadsheet".
I do not have the creds to set table names - something that needs to be
done in advance of the upcoming dress rehearsal on Sunday.

Re: Communication to Members
by Laurence Montgomery
Hi Peter -
Thanks!
For some reason C001 never got included with all the other motions at
greensconnect.ca. If you can believe it, Mark and Sarah have been unable to
access any of the motions at www.greenparty.ca!
Mark and Sarah have confirmed the motion's active status but the text needs
to be supplied to *John Wilson or Michael Strumberger . * Once they have
created an entry at greensconnect.ca, I can link to it from the Splash page.
I have copied this reply to all concerned.

Le Tech | Wrapping up our Delegation Canvas
by Michael Strumberger
Hi Le Tech team,
If you haven't already, please prioritize participating in the drafting of
our team's delegation canvas
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RO4xurpriFgeNvdlhZRzYjw7P--JMHERC8-27...>
.
Let's have this firmed up—and everyone familiar— in time for our meeting on
Friday, so that we can not just rubber stamp it but ensure there's clear
alignment on how we shall proceed.
Sound good?

OCT 15 : Agenda for Tech Team tonight
by Laurence Montgomery
Sorry if I missed this but do we have an agenda for tonight?
I just got off the phone with Sarah GB and invited her to attend, so can we put "Motion Mondays" first on he agenda?
Some questions on this topic:
1) Are we using our existing meet, a VGM meet preview or creating a third, separate meet for the event?
2) Who is hosting? Sarah wants to be able to start from the stage and go to the stage briefly between table sessions. She is also hoping to find an elder to bring on stage to make the land acknowledgment, and possibly have the motion creators create a one minute video introducing their motion.
2a) Who will be sitting at the Tech Table for support?
3) Is it possible to create overflow tables 'on the fly'?
A related agenda item: Can we tag motions by color on decidim?

Mark Mackenzie's EDA Zoom Meeting
by Laurence Montgomery
Hey I don't have Mark's email address but have an idea I'd like to pass on to him. I wonder if at the conclusion of his regional EDA Zoom meeting if he would like to add a 'Let's all go over and log into the Airmeet and sit at a table together for a few minutes".
It occurs to me that the success of the VGM will partially hang on that fraction of members - no matter how small - that have had some experience of Airmeet. Some critical mass of people saying to their friends "Don't worry I've been here before" could wind up making all the difference.
I'm happy to attend this and any other *short* "Welcome to Airmeet" micro sessions (ad hoc or recurring). But I would need some admin experience to be in a better position to answer questions about Airmeet's features and *lingo*.

Re: online motion discussions?
by Michael Strumberger
Hi Mark, Sarah, Bob and John,
Le Tech Team ( the working title of the Tech Action Team) is delighted to
help with the tech to enable these yellow card sessions to happen. We've
logged many hours on Airmeet including a handful of events.
The team meets at *7pm ET (4pm Pacific) tomorrow* and has this on the
agenda. *Anyone interested in joining us?*
We'll be on Airmeet at the Tech table:
